La historia del movimiento obrero en América Latina y sus formas de investigación

El artículo está dividido en dos secciones. La primera tiene que ver con el paso de la "ideología" a la "estructura" y ahí enfatizamos temas como la teoría de la modernización y el sindicalismo, el trabajo y la conciencia obrera, la evolución social y política y la interrogante acerca del vínculo entre la sindicalización el poder de los sindicatos. La segunda tiene que ver con el paso de la ''estructura" a la ''sociología" y ahí nos centramos en los hallazgos de los estudios que enfocan la relación sindicalismo-Estado; la acción obrera en ramas
económicas estratégicas como la producción de automóviles o de acero; el conflicto laboral y las huelgas asi como el comportamiento político de la clase obrera. Finalmente, tratamos de identificar algunos temas analizados en la investigación reciente y detectar hacia dónde debería ir la invesrigación en el futuro.
