Antes de la nación, un espacio compartido: la gran región surecuatoriana-norperuana

Mientras el imperio español estuvo vigente, las regiones fronterizas de sus jurisdicciones no tuvieron mayores problemas de relación entre ellas y, por el contrario, fundándose en realidades previas, readecuaron el sistema de realización económica en los nuevos términos españoles. Éste es el caso del sur de la audiencia de Quito y el norte de la de Lima, donde las vinculaciones prehíspánicas se vieron potenciadas por el tráfico mercantil español: familias y productos circularon fluidamente en este espacio. Pero desde la década de 1820, en que se fundaron las repúblicas, en adelante, el proceso de construcción nacional signó su progresiva separación. El artículo de linea lo que fue este proceso de construcción nacional y el impacto que tuvo en el espacio indicado.Downloads
