El presente trabajo representa un acercamiento a la vida y obra de James "Santiago" Humberstone, pionero de la industria salitrera en Tarapacá. Basado principalmente en su "Autobiografía", y narración de "Huida de Agua Santa en 1879", bosqueja la trayectoria y educación del joven Humberstone en Inglaterra y en la pampa salitrera, como así también sus logros en la temprana industria del salitre.Downloads
